Meditation, journaling, and a warm bath are lovely ways to slow down—but they're only part of the picture.
Your nervous system can't tell the difference between a work deadline and being chased by a lion. When stress is active, your body’s priority is survival. Blood flow shifts to your muscles while digestion, tissue repair, and hormone regulation take a back seat.
Join Rebalance to learn how to recognize when your fight-or-flight mode is activated, and gain practical tools to release that stress before it disrupts inflammation, hormones, digestion, blood sugar, sleep, and more.

Hilary Beckwith | NTP, RHP, BCHN®
Owner/Practitioner, Well Roots, Seattle
Hilary is a neurospicy functional nutrition provider, PCOS educator, ex-dieter, quad skater, and bringer of great snacks.
Before opening Well Roots in 2021, she spent 20+ years in physical medicine, helping folx reduce inflammation through root-cause nutrition, which overlapped into her own world of chronic illness, migraines, PCOS (now PMOS!), and hypermobility issues. Her training and experiences inform her ability to help individuals navigate hormone imbalances, autoimmune conditions, persistent pain, and fatigue with compassionate, evidence-based care.
When she's not diving into health research, you'll find her soaking up the peaceful energy of the woods, grabbing beer and bingo with her boo, or getting her hands dirty in the garden.

The focus on “staying calm” goes against what your body is wired to do in response to stress.
Rebalance will teach you the skills to recognize when your body is in a stress state, and tools to move the stress through your body as it was meant to, restoring a more natural sense of calm and balance.
-
You don’t need to feel stressed for your body to be in a state of stress response.
Threats to your nervous system can include gut infections (opportunistic bacteria, candida, parasites, viruses), food sensitivities, low blood sugar levels, and lack of movement.
These threats, although not stressful, per se, are activating your stress response system and impacting hormone balance, inflammation, blood sugar, sleep, and energy.
